Justin Langer appointed Australia men's cricket coach
What's the story
Australia are trying to move on from the ball-tampering scandal that engulfed their cricket team and have named Test great Justin Langer as the head coach of the men's national team.
The ball-tampering scandal caused a massive outrage in the nation and former coach Darren Lehmann had stepped down at the conclusion of the Test series in South Africa.
Impressive CV
Langer is a well qualified caoch
Justin Langer, who was Australia's former Test opener and was capped 105 times for his country, was in charge of Western Australia and had led the Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash titles.
Langer has signed a 4-year contract with Cricket Australia to coach the national side.
Langer stepped down from international cricket in 2007 after the 5-0 Ashes series victory before taking up coaching.

"The plan has allowed us to consider several worthy candidates, but Justin was the clear standout, particularly based on his recent coaching and player development achievements," Chief Executive of Cricket Australia, James Sutherland said.
Fix Australian cricket
Justin Langer has a task at hand
Langers's biggest challenge will be to fix the scandal-hit team, improve the team's behavior and win back the trust of the people.
Apart from that, India's tour of Australia towards the end of this year and the Ashes series early next year will be the series where his ability as a coach will be put to test.
