Global sports brand Adidas has signed India's young athlete Hima Das.
This is a huge moment for the 18-year-old girl from Assam. She has been making the right noise through her stunning performances.
The teenage sensation shined at the Asian Games 2018 and also did well at the U-20 Championship.

Hima to get personalized spikes from Adidas
During the U-20 World Championship, Hima wore Adidas spikes.
But this time around, the scenario is different. Hima will be receiving personalized spikes by the sportswear brand.
She is the second Indian athlete, since the conclusion of Asian Games, for whom Adidas will be sponsoring sportsgear.
Athlete Barman, who was born with six toes each on her feet, will also don customized Adidas spikes.

Award
Hima nominated for Arjuna award
Hima's excellent show, this year, saw her being nominated for the Arjuna award.
She was among 20 athletes to be nominated for the prestigious award, which is set to be sanctioned by Sports Minister, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.
"I didn't expect to win the Arjuna this year. I was thinking may be next year, I will be considered," said Hima.

Hima won the gold medal at the U-20 World Championship in Finland. She added another three medals to her name at the Asian Games 2018. She was given a rousing welcome in Assam after her heroics in Indonesia.
