In the most expensive deal of the deadline day of the January transfer window, Odion Ighalo was transferred to Chinese Super League club Changchun Yatai for a reported fee of £20m. The Watford striker has scored 39 goals in 100 appearances since his transfer in 2014. Happy to cash in on Ighalo, Watford have brought in Mauro Zarate from Fiorentina on a permanent deal.
Burnley breaks transfer record; signs Robbie Brady and Ashley Westwood
Burnley has signed a three-and-a-half year deal with Republic of Ireland's international Robbie Brady for a record amount of about £13m. They have also signed Ashley Westwood from Aston Villa in an undisclosed amount rumored to be around £5m to take the club's spending on transfer deadline day to £18m. Westwood has also signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the club.
Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho signed by Crystal Palace
Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho has been loaned to Crystal Palace for the rest of the season for a fee of about £2m. He has not been playing for the reds since April 2016 due to off-field issues.
