Dhruv Jurel completes 1,000 First-Class runs with 93 vs Mumbai
India's young and dynamic wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel missed out on his second century in First-Class cricket. Playing for the Rest of India, Jurel made a fine 93 on Day 4 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. En route, he also completed 1,000 runs in FC cricket. Responding to Mumbai's threatening score of 537, ROI were off to a brilliant start as Jurel arrived with the scorecard reading 228/4. He joined forces with centurion Abhimanyu Easwaran (191) and the duo added 168 runs to take their side past 400. Jurel was the aggressor in the partnership as he scored runs all over the park. He eventually fell to Shams Mulani.
1,000 runs in FC cricket
Jurel made a fiery 93 off just 121 balls, a knock laced with 13 fours and a six. He entered this match with 982 runs across 19 FC games, averaging 44.63. The dasher has now completed 1,075 runs. This was his seventh fifty as the tally also includes a solitary ton. Meanwhile, he has scored 190 Test runs for India at 63.33.
