Afghanistan's spin king Rashid Khan has been sensational for Sunrisers Hyderabad over the last two seasons of the Indian Premier League. The ace spinner has helped the Orange Army win several low scoring encounters. With a bagful of wickets, Rashid has already proven his worth in the league. The 12th edition is crucial for the player and he could script several new records.
Rashid picked up 21 wickets last season
Rashid played an important role for SRH last season and helped the side reach the finale. He picked up 21 wickets in IPL 11 at an economy of only 6.73. Once again, SRH will be riding on his prowess to deliver consistent performances this term.
Rashid can better his dot ball stats
In 31 IPL matches, Rashid has been splendid with the ball. He has bowled 288 dot balls already. Rashid bowled an impressive 167 dots in IPL 11, the highest among all bowlers. One can expect him to register 400-plus dots post the conclusion of IPL 2019. He also had the joint-highest dots in a single innings in 2018 (18). Rashid can surpass that feat.
Rashid can end season with most wickets
Rashid had a fantastic 2018 with the ball in international cricket. The experience he gained along the way could help him improve drastically this time in IPL 12. He was the joint-second highest wicket-taker last season and the sixth highest in 2017. This time Rashid could go on to win the Purple Cap. He can become the first foreign spinner to achieve the same.
Rashid in line to take 50 IPL career wickets
The 20-year-old is shy of just 12 wickets to reach a total of 50 scalps in the IPL (38). Rashid is currently third in the list for the most wickets taken by a Sunrisers bowler. He needs just two to get past Dale Steyn (39) and get to the second position. Rashid has 11 catches and needs four more to get past Steyn (14).
