Interesting chat surfaces between KXIP and Gauti
In an interesting chat between Indian Premier League outfit Kings XI Punjab and the veteran player, one can see a new possibility opening up. Gambhir had replied to a tweet by KXIP. Let's meet soon, says Gauti
Viru, Hodge were shown the door by KXIP
KXIP had finished 7th last season and then made some big calls post IPL 11. Last month, Virender Sehwag stepped down as the mentor of the team. The former Indian player guided the side for the last three seasons. Prior to that, the IPL franchise also removed head coach Brad Hodge. They roped in former New Zealand coach Mike Hesson instead.
Gauti could be the new team mentor
It was reported that Hesson is keen to work with some new faces as members of his staff. With Viru gone as the mentor, perhaps Gauti could come in and help the side out. The former Kolkata Knight Riders skipper won two IPL trophies with the eastern giants. Gambhir amassed 4,217 runs in the IPL from 152 matches. His experience is immense.
