IPL- Mumbai defeat Kolkata; to play Pune in the finals
Mumbai Indians registered a six wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in the second qualifier to reach the finals of the 2017 Indian Premier League. Chasing 108, Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya put on a 54-run partnership for the fourth wicket to win the match with 33 balls to spare. Mumbai will play Pune in their fourth IPL final.
Kolkata, Mumbai fight for the finals spot
Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians will lock horns against each other to grab the finals spot in the 2017 Indian Premier League. Mumbai are in the qualifiers after they lost to Pune, while Kolkata defeated Hyderabad in the eliminator. While the numbers suggest that Mumbai have clear advantage over Kolkata, the latter are known to give a tough fight in adverse conditions.

In the 20 matches played between KKR and MI in the last 10 years of IPL, Mumbai have won 15, while Kolkata have only five in their kitty. Mumbai also hold an advantage of winning 77.78 percent matches at Chinnaswamy Stadium, against Kolkata's 60 percent.
Mumbai bowlers bundle up Kolkata for 107
Kolkata put on a poor batting display, with all their players returning to pavilion for just 107 runs. They had a disastrous start and lost five wickets for 31 runs but a 56-run partnership between Suryakumar Yadav and Ishank Jaggi helped KKR to post a three digit target. This was their lowest score in IPL 10.
Four wickets for Karn Sharma, three for Bumrah
Karn Sharma went on to grab four wickets from four overs after he was picked in the playing XI instead of Harbhajan Singh. Playing in his 100th IPL match, Jaspreet Bumrah went on to register his best T20 bowling figures of 3/7 from three overs.
