Satyanarayana Raju, a promising fast bowler from Andhra Pradesh, has made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He was named in Mumbai Indians's starting XI against Chennai Super Kings. The five-time champions bought Raju for a base price of ₹30 lakh in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Raju was included after a string of impressive performances in various domestic leagues and tournaments of late.

Standout performance in Andhra Premier League
Raju, a right-arm pacer, rose to fame in the cricketing circuit with his brilliant show in the 2024 Andhra Premier League.
Playing for Rayalaseema Kings, he picked up eight wickets from seven matches at an economy of 6.15.
Apart from his Andhra Premier League run, Raju also shone in the 2024/25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
He represented Andhra Pradesh and picked seven wickets from as many games at an average of 26.85. His economy rate read 8.23.

Raju in FC cricket
Raju's talent is not restricted to the T20 format. He has also made a mark in the First-Class cricket.
He represented Andhra Pradesh in the 2024/25 Ranji Trophy, where he claimed 16 wickets in six matches at a decent average of 30.18.
Raju also has nine List A and seven T20 wickets to his name.
His consistent performances across formats have made him a valuable addition to Mumbai Indians for their IPL 2025 campaign.
