Bollywood stars light up the IPL 2018 ceremony
The Indian Premier League 2018 officially began today after the dazzling opening ceremony that began at 5 PM in the evening. Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Tamannah Bhatia and Hrithik Roshan lit up the stage at the Wankhede with some stellar performances. IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla declared the IPL open in the evening amidst loud roars from the fans.
Varun Dhawan & Co set the stage on fire
Dhawan shared the stage with Prabhu Deva, with both of them dancing to the tunes of hit numbers. After the duo, the likes of Jacqueline, Bhatia and Hrithik came out one after the other to dance on some peppy numbers. Singer Mika Singh too performed some songs and concluded the event with the IPL national anthem.
Rohit eager to start on good note
Champion MI skipper Rohit Sharma kept the trophy into play after coming on the field with it. Rohit stated that he is happy to be a part of the side that has won three IPL titles and Mumbai seek to start on a good note.
