The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has become the latest victim of the coronavirus outbreak. Yesterday, there were concerns regarding the availability of foreign players as well as reports suggesting that matches will be played behind closed doors. And now, the Delhi Government has announced that no matches of the 2020 edition will take place in the city due to this pandemic. Here's more.

Foreign players can't come till April 15: BCCI source
In another development, a report mentioned that foreigners could miss out the action until April 15. "The foreign players who play in the IPL come under the Business Visa category. As per the government's directive, they can't come till April 15," a source claimed. India has already suspended visas till April 15. This doesn't apply to diplomatic, official, UN/International organizations, employment and project visas.
How has the coronavirus has impacted other tournaments?
The coronavirus outbreak in Italy has seen all the major tournaments in the nation get suspended until April 3. The Indian Wells tennis tournament got cancelled on Monday. In football, La Liga has been suspended and the Premier League too could face the same fate. Several Champions League and Europa matches have been postponed. In Formula 1, the Australian Grand Prix got cancelled.
India-SA ODIs to be held behind closed doors
The ongoing ODI series between India and South Africa is set to be played behind closed doors. "Government has issued advisory on sporting events and we have to follow them. We will follow the advisory for the second and third ODI," the BCCI source said. While the first ODI was washed out, the following two ODIs will be played in Lucknow and Kolkata.
70+ cases of coronavirus reported in India
A total of 75 positive cases have been reported in India till Friday. Meanwhile, a 76-year-old man from Karnataka became the first casualty of the deadly virus. The maximum coronavirus cases have come from Kerala, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Delhi Government has shut colleges, schools and movie theatres in the national capital. Six cases have been reported in the capital.
