KXIP's KL Rahul could prove to be a match winner
KL Rahul was at his best for Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018. The opening batsman dominated the show for his side from start to finish. He set the stage alive with the fastest half-century in IPL. He amassed 659 runs in 14 matches and finished as third highest run-scorer. Rahul will, once again, hold the fort for KXIP atop. He could score emphatically.
Kane Williamson was the winner in IPL 2018
Kane Williamson was the winner of Orange Cap in IPL 11. The Kiwi international had amassed a total of 735 runs and led his side Sunrisers Hyderabad to the finale. He set the standards, last term, with eight fifties. This time with David Warner back, Kane will get the time to focus on his batting. And that could help him replicate last year's performance.
King Kohli is one of the favorites
Virat Kohli had amassed 530 runs from 14 matches in IPL 11. The Indian skipper is one of the players who gains a lot of attraction throughout the campaign. The IPL 2019 season can be Kohli's. He had won the Orange Cap in 2016. That season saw Kohli notch 973 runs. And with the form he is enjoying, he could have another record-breaking season.
Ambati Rayudu could take the charge for CSK once again
Chennai Super Kings benefited largely because of the form Ambati Rayudu enjoyed while opening for them. The versatile veteran star smashed 602 runs at an average of 43.00. And this time too, Rayudu could be given the license to go out and dominate the bowlers. With Shane Watson as his opening partner, Rayudu could give a strong fight to others for the Orange Cap.
Rishabh Pant is a rare talent
Delhi Capitals will be banking on Rishabh Pant, this season, to play a crucial role. Pant was at another level last term. His fluency with the bat gave us a glimpse of his talent. The range of shots made him the household name, last year. Pant had notched 684 runs in 2018 and this time around, he is definitely one of the strongest contenders.
