These batters have dominated Jasprit Bumrah in IPL
Jasprit Bumrah is arguably the finest fast bowler of this generation. Playing for Mumbai Indians, he has also made a significant mark in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His ability to take wickets without conceding too many runs makes him a captain's delight. However, here we look at the batters with the highest IPL strike rate against Bumrah (Minimum: 65 runs).
AB de Villiers - 147.05
At number five, we have the legendary AB de Villiers, who has tormented the best of bowlers. The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter has smashed Bumrah for 125 runs off just 85 deliveries in IPL as the tally includes eight sixes and an impressive strike rate of 147.05, as per ESPNcricinfo. However, Bumrah dismissed the star batter thrice across 13 IPL meetings.
Virat Kohli - 147.36
The highest run-getter in IPL history, Virat Kohli also makes it to this list. The RCB star has taken Bumrah to the cleaners on several occasions, smoking 140 runs off 95 balls at a healthy strike rate of 147.36. However, the MI pacer has dismissed the batting talisman five times across 16 meetings. Kohli also happens to be Bumrah's maiden IPL wicket in 2013.
Dinesh Karthik - 183.78
Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has aced the finisher's role for RCB in recent seasons. He has also successfully dominated Bumrah, smoking him for 68 runs off just 37 balls. The tally includes a strike rate of 183.78. Notably, the MI star couldn't dismiss Karthik even once across their seven meetings in the tournament.
Manish Pandey - 186.48
Although Manish Pandey's strike rate has often come under the scanner, he has dominated the show against Bumrah. The two have had 10 face-offs in IPL so far, which saw Pandey accumulating 69 runs off just 37 balls and that too at a strike rate of 186.48. Bumrah is yet to dismiss the veteran batter in the competition.
JP Duminy - 212.12
Former South African batter JP Duminy finds himself atop this marquee list. He has smothered Bumrah for 70 runs off just 33 balls as the tally includes six maximums besides three boundaries. The southpaw hence has a strike rate of 212.12 against the star fast bowler. Bumrah was able to dismiss Duminy once across their four IPL meetings.
