IPL-auctions: 36 players have set their base-price at Rs. 2cr
36 players, including the likes of seasoned international cricketers like Stokes, Starc, Dhawan and Ashwin have listed their base price as Rs. 2 cr for the upcoming IPL 2018 auctions. Rs. 2 cr is the maximum base price, any player can pick. As many as 1,122 players have registered for IPL auctions, which are scheduled to take place on January 27th and 28th.
13 Indian stars in Rs. 2 cr bracket
While the official announcement is yet to be made, reports suggest that 13 of 36 players are of Indian origin and 23 are from overseas. The final list of the auction pool will be prepared once the 8 franchises submit the names of the players they are interested in. While the maximum base price is Rs. 2 cr the minimum is Rs. 20 lakh.
Rashid Khan to fetch big bucks
Among the players in the Rs. 2 cr base price bracket, is Afghan spin sensation Rashid Khan ,who made a stellar debut in the IPL last season. England all-rounder Ben Stokes is also in the Rs. 2 cr bracket. England captain Joe Root, who is set to make his debut this season, is available at a base price of Rs. 1.5 cr.

Overseas players with base price of Rs. 2 cr
