IPL 2022 Auction: Jason Holder sold to Lucknow Super Giants
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction on Saturday saw West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder be bought by Lucknow Super Giants. Lucknow spent Rs. 8.75 crore for the services of Holder. The senior cricketer was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier. Holder will aim to show his pedigree for LSG with both bat and ball. He had earlier played for the KKR too.

Jason Holder has played 26 games in IPL and smashed 189 runs at 14.54. The West Indies all-rounder has picked 35 wickets in India's domestic T20 league at 22.46. He has maintained an economy rate of 8.2. In IPL 2021, he bagged 16 wickets in eight games, besides scoring 85 runs. He averaged 15.43 with the ball while maintaining an economy rate of 7.75.
Lucknow got these players as their draft picks
Before the IPL 2022 auction, Lucknow Super Giants signed three players as their draft picks. The Lucknow based outfit's first choice was India's vice-captain, KL Rahul. They spent Rs. 17 crore to acquire his services, making him the joint-most paid player in the league. They roped in Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis for Rs. 9.2 crore and are paying Rs. 4 crore for Ravi Bishnoi.
Lucknow have also bought Quinton de Kock
Besides Holder, the Lucknow Super Giants have roped in SA batter Quinton de Kock for a staggering amount of Rs. 6.75 crore. The senior cricketer was released by Mumbai Indians earlier. Quinton will aim to show his pedigree for LSG upfront.
