IPL 2022 Auction: Wanindu Hasaranga bought by RCB
What's the story
The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction on Saturday saw Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga be bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore.
RCB spent Rs. 10.75 crore for the services of Hasaranga.
The Lankan cricketer was released by RCB earlier.
Hasaranga will aim to show his pedigree for RCB with his spin show.
He made his IPL debut last season.

Notably, Hasaranga is the first overseas player to cross Rs. 10 crore figure in the IPL 2022 Auction. The Lankan ace has established himself as a quality white-ball specialist. He has been bowling well consistently for the Asian side.

Hasaranga bowled well versus Australia on Friday
In the first Australia versus Sri Lanka T20I match on Friday, Hasaranga claimed three wickets for 38 runs.
This was his maiden three-wicket haul versus Australia.
Hasaranga raced to 55 T20I scalps from just 34 matches at 13.65.
He equaled the tally of Pakistan's Imad Wasim (55 wickets).
However, Sri Lanka lost the match as Australia have taken a 1-0 lead.
