The 2025 Indian Premier League season starts from March 22 onward with champions Kolkata Knight Riders taking on Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Like every season, uncapped Indian players are often the focus. The IPL is a ticket for several of these players to make a foray into the Indian cricket team.
Ahead of a crunch 2025 campaign, we decode key uncapped Indians.

Anshul Kamboj - CSK
Anshul Kamboj was bought by the Yellow Army for ₹3.4 crore at the 2025 IPL auction.
The Haryana pacer played three matches for Mumbai Indians in his debut IPL season last year.
Kamboj owns a stellar 74 wickets in First-Class cricket at 14.64.
The promising pacer also owns 55 wickets in List A cricket at 9.16.
In T20s, he has 52 wickets at 17.33.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi - RR
13-year-old cricket prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi is already making waves. He is seen as a future Indian superstar.
Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson said recently that Suryavanshi "is ready to make a big impact."
The young talent was signed by RR for a whopping ₹1.1 crore, making him the youngest-ever player to sign with a team in the IPL.
RR could unleash him this season.

Abishek Porel - DC
22-year-old wicketkeeper batter Abishek Porel has done a reasonable job across formats.
The Bengal player was one of the key players retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. DC kept him for a bargain price of ₹4 crore.
Porel scored 327 runs for DC last season at 32.70 (50s: 2). Overall, he owns 956 T20 runs at 31.86.

Prabhsimran Singh - PBKS
24-year-old Prabhsimran Singh is a powerhouse of talent. The Punjab player was one of the two names to be retained by Punjab Kings ahead of the mega auction.
Prabhsimran, who was retained for ₹4 crore, scored 358 runs in IPL 2023 and another 334 runs last season, playing all of PBKS' matches.
Overall, he owns 2,373 runs in T20s at 31.22.
