IPL 2025: SRH sign Wiaan Mulder as Brydon Carse's replacement
What's the story
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have roped in South Africa all-rounder Wiaan Mulder as a replacement for the injured Brydon Carse ahead of the impending Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
Carse sustained the injury during England's 2025 ICC Champions Trophy campaign. His toe injury was aggravated further.
Although he initially managed his condition, he was forced to pull out of the competition after a failed opener against Australia where he leaked 69 runs from seven overs.

Mulder's impressive performance in Champions Trophy
Mulder, who has been signed as Carse's replacement, also played in the Champions Trophy for the Proteas. He proved his mettle by picking six wickets in three games.
Although he went unsold at the IPL auction with a base price of ₹75 lakh, he is set for his debut season.
SRH, who finished as IPL 2024 runners-up, will begin their campaign with a home match against Rajasthan Royals on March 23.
