The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is set to start from March 22 onward with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders hosting Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The 2025 IPL will see several high-profile foreign players looking to have a lasting impression for their respective teams.
All 10 sides have quality recruits in their roster. We decode the overseas players to watch out for.

Sunil Narine - KKR
A three-time IPL winner and three-time Most Valuable Player of the tournament awardee, Sunil Narine, will once again look to make a lasting impression.
The KKR legend owns 180 wickets from 177 matches at 25.39. With the bat, he has slammed 1,534 runs at 17.04.
Last season, Narine won the MVP award for chipping in with 17 wickets and 488 runs.

Heinrich Klaasen - SRH
South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen has seen his stocks rise of late in white-ball cricket.
The aggressive batter has settled in nicely at Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The former RCB and RR player owns 993 runs at 38.19 (SR: 168.30).
Notably, 928 of his IPL runs have come for SRH from 28 matches at 44.14, as per ESPNcricinfo.
He has struck at a whopping 173.92.

Mitchell Starc - DC
Mitchell Starc did a solid job for KKR last season despite a poor start. He made the difference for the eastern giants in the latter part of the campaign, including Qualifier 1 and the final.
Starc claimed 17 scalps at 26.11.
This season, he will be seen playing for Delhi Capitals. After missing the Champions Trophy, a fresh Starc can be lethal for DC.

Wanindu Hasaranga - RR
Wanindu Hasaranga of Sri Lanka will lead the spin attack of Rajasthan Royals, replacing Yuzvendra Chahal, who was released by RR before being snapped up by Punjab Kings.
Hasaranga is a champion T20 specialist. He owns an impressive 305 wickets from 212 matches at 16.65.
He has nine four-fers and three five-wicket hauls. 131 of his scalps have come for Sri Lanka in T20Is.

Afghanistan's Rashid Khan has been highly consistent in the IPL. He owns 149 scalps in 121 matches at 21.82. Australia's Glenn Maxwell will be keen to perform well under Ricky Ponting as he moves back to his former franchise Punjab Kings.
