IPL 2024: GT aim to settle scores against DC
Delhi Capitals would be desperate for a win as they host Gujarat Titans in Match 40 of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). With just three wins in eight games, DC are reeling at the bottom half of the points table. GT have also blown hold and cold, managing four wins in eight outings. Here we look at the match preview.
Pitch report and streaming details
Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium will host this game on April 24. The only previous game here this season saw DC manage 199/10 while chasing 267 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. As the ground usually offers pitches that contain low bounce, spinners have a key role to play. Star Sports will telecast the match, and fans can also live-stream it on JioCinema for free (7:30pm IST).
Here's the head-to-head record
As GT made their IPL debut only in 2022, they have met DC just four times. The head-to-head record is 2-2 as the Capitals thrashed the Titans by six wickets in the reverse fixture this season. GT posted their lowest IPL score of 89/10 after a superb effort from the Delhi bowlers. In response, DC earned a convincing victory, scoring 92/4 in 8.5 overs.
Can GT settle the scores?
GT have been let down by their batters in recent games as the middle order lacks potency. David Miller's return should resolve the issue to some extent. Rashid Khan has been at his all-round best. Meanwhile, DC bowlers haven't fared too well either barring the game against GT. However, most of their batters have been in fine form.
