As per reports, Edmeades suffered low blood pressure while presenting. It is understood that he is stable for now. According to cricket presenter Gautam Bhimani, it "was a physical fall no internal issues". Star sports, on Twitter, wrote, "The auctioneer, Hugh Edmeades is feeling better and his health situation is being monitored." The auction will resume shortly.
Charu Sharma named make-shift Auctioneer
In another development, the Indian Premier League has appointed broadcaster Charu Sharma as the make-shift Auctioneer for the rest of Day 1. It remains to be seen if he continues to fill in for Edmeades on Sunday (Day 2).
