The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction on Saturday saw Indian all-rounder Rahul Tewatia be bought by Gujarat Titans. The Hardik Pandya-led outfit spent a whopping Rs. 9.0 crore to acquire Tewatia's services. The leg-spinner was released by Rajasthan Royals earlier. Tewatia's journey in IPL
Tewatia made his IPL debut in 2014 with Rajasthan Royals. He joined Kings XI Punjab, now renamed as Punjab Kings, in 2017. He was signed by Delhi Daredevils, now renamed as Delhi Capitals, in the 2018 IPL auction. He returned to RR after a trade from Delhi ahead of IPL 2020. He scored 155 runs in 2021 in 14 games, besides taking eight wickets.

Rahul Tewatia has played 48 games in IPL and amassed 521 runs at an average of 23.68. He has struck one fifty in the tournament and has maintained a strike rate of 124.34. He has also picked 32 wickets at 31.88.
