IPL 2021: SRH restrict RCB to 149/8
Sunrisers Hyderabad were terrific against Royal Challengers Bangalore in match number six of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. RCB lost wickets at regular intervals and never got going. Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell went past the 30-run mark as the rest of the batsmen struggled. For SRH, wrist-spinner Rashid Khan was exceptional. Here's the mid-innings report.
RCB managed 47/1 in PP overs
RCB had a decent first six overs, managing 47 runs for the loss of one wicket. They lost Devdutt Padikkal (11) early on before Virat Kohli and Shahbaz Ahmed did a decent job. Kohli scored 19 in the PP overs as Shahbaz got 14. Earlier, Bhuvneshwar Kumar got the wicket of Padikkal, who was struggling on a slow pitch.
Kohli and Maxwell the only RCB players to impress
RCB captain Kohli racked up 33 runs from 29 balls, hitting four fours at a strike rate of 113.79. Kohli looked in decent touch before getting a top edge and losing his wicket at a crucial juncture. Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell got an impressive fifty for RCB. He got the impressive boundaries and stuck on.
SRH bowlers shine with the ball
The SRH bowlers bowled well in a collective manner. All the five bowlers got wickets with Jason Holder and Rashid Khan impressing the most. Warner couldn't have asked for more as his bowlers stood up and delivered.
