IPL franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore may not have won the title, but they have set a host of records. Ahead of the upcoming IPL 2019 season, we look at some of the most unique records held by RCB.
Kohli holds the distinction of three 200-plus partnerships
Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers hold the record for the highest partnership by runs in the IPL. They have two 200+ run partnerships. The 229 and 215* run stands came against Gujarat Lions (2016) and Mumbai Indians (2015) respectively. Kohli also holds a rare distinction of stitching three 200-plus partnerships. He had added 204* runs alongside Chris Gayle in 2012 against Delhi.
Kohli had amassed 973 runs in IPL 2016
Kohli had scored 973 runs in the IPL in 2016. Except him, nobody has ever crossed the 900-run mark in the cash-rich league. Kohli's four tons in one season is another feat which is pretty unique in its own way. He has scored the most runs by a batsman in IPL for a single franchise (4,948).
When Gayle slammed 175* for RCB in 2013
Former RCB stalwart Chris Gayle is definitely the best T20 batsman the world has ever seen. Gayle's impact for RCB was huge and he often set the stage on fire. The veteran T20 Universe Boss boasts of the highest score ever by an individual in IPL. He scored an unbeaten 175-run knock for RCB against Pune Warriors in 2013. Gayle took just 66 deliveries.

This is the lowest team total in IPL history. RCB scored 263/5 against Pune in 2013. This is the highest ever team score by any franchise.
Some other unique records scripted by RCB
Former RCB skipper Anil Kumble had won the man of the match award in IPL 2009 finale, despite his team being the losing side. Only one RCB batsman got to double figures when the side was dismissed for 82 in the first match of IPL against KKR in 2008. No RCB batsmen got to double digits in their score of 49 in 2017.
