What's the story
The century by Ajinkya Rahane, former skipper of Rajasthan Royals, went in vain, as visitors Delhi Capitals outsmarted Royals by six wickets in match number 40 of IPL 2019 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday.
With this win, Delhi become table toppers, while Rajasthan remained on seventh spot.

Rahane scores 1,000 IPL runs in Jaipur
Rajasthan's opener Rahane became the first man to score 1,000 runs in the IPL in Jaipur.
Rahane, who started his career with Mumbai Indians, has enjoyed a prolific run playing for Royals.
Rahane scripted another record as he became the third batsman to score a century against Delhi in the IPL. The other two are Chris Gayle and Murali Vijay.

Rahane scores second-most runs against Delhi in IPL
Rahane loves playing against Delhi. With today's century, he became the second highest scorer against Delhi in the cash-rich league.
Rahane to date has scored 782 runs against Delhi.
The list is dominated by Royal Challengers Bangalore's Virat Kohli, who has scored 802 runs.
Rahane is followed by MI's skipper Rohit Sharma, who has 745 runs, against DC, to his name.

Riyan Parag second youngest wicket-taker in IPL
Rajasthan's Riyan Parag became the second youngest player to claim a wicket in IPL.
Parag is 17 years and 163 days old.
The list is dominated by Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who was 17 years and 11 days old when he achieved the feat in 2018.
Parag is followed by Pradeep Sangwan, who was 17 years 181 days old when he picked his first wicket.
Highest score
Rahane registers highest individual score for Rajasthan
Rahane's record-breaking streak continued tonight when he also became the highest individual scorer for Rajasthan.
He is followed by Shane Watson, who scored an unbeaten 104 against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2015.
In the third spot is Rahane himself, scoring an unbeaten 103 against RCB in 2012, followed by Sanju Samson's 102* against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad this year.

Match report
How did the match pan out?
Being put into bat first, opener Rahane, along with skipper Steve Smith, put up a healthy 130-run stand for the second wicket, as the side scored a challenging total of 191/6, while Kagiso Rabada claimed 2/37.
In reply, it was opener Shikhar Dhawan's brilliant 54, followed by Rishabh Pant's prolific half-century, that allowed Delhi to outsmart the former champions.
