IPL 2019: CSK beat DC, here are the records broken
Chennai Super Kings beat Delhi Capitals in match number 50 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019. The MS Dhoni-led side registered its ninth victory to move back to the top of the IPL 12 table. Batting first, CSK posted a commanding 179/4. DC got off to a flier, but lost their way to be dismissed for 99. Here's more.
Raina smashes 37th career IPL fifty
Suresh Raina (59) went past the 300-run mark in IPL 2019. He became the second CSK player to achieve the same after MS Dhoni (358). Raina slammed his second fifty this season. The veteran southpaw registered his 37th career IPL fifty as well. Raina smashed eight fours and a six. He now has 192 career IPL sixes to his name.
Dhoni surpasses Uthappa in terms of career IPL runs
Dhoni (44) went past the 350-run mark this season. He hit four fours and three sixes. Dhoni now has 296 career IPL fours and needs four more to register the mark of 300. He also increased his tally to 206 career IPL sixes. Dhoni (4,374 runs) went past Robin Uthappa (4,349) in terms of career IPL runs.
Watson registers seventh IPL duck and other feats
Harbhajan Singh now has 144 career IPL scalps. Shane Watson registered his seventh career IPL duck. He equalled a host of players including Virender Sehwag and Chris Gayle. Imran Tahir (4/12) now has the second most wickets this season (21). Deepak Chahar picked up his 16th wicket this season. He reclaimed his number one position for the most dot balls in IPL 2019.
How did the match pan out?
CSK lost Watson early, but Raina and Faf du Plessis (39) added 83 runs for the second wicket. Faf took his time which allowed Raina to accelerate. After their dismissals, Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja (25) helped CSK get to a significant score. In reply, DC were in the hunt, but after Shikhar Dhawan's dismissal, things changed in favor of a rampant CSK.

Iyer surpasses 400-run mark this season, Jaddu impresses
Shreyas Iyer (44) surpassed the 400-run mark in IPL 2019. He became the ninth player to do so. Ravindra Jadeja (3/9) now has 105 IPL wickets. He went past Zaheer Khan and equalled Vinay Kumar in terms of career IPL scalps.
