IPL 2018: England's Alex Hales recruited as David Warner's replacement
England whirlwind limited overs batsman Alex Hales has been named as David Warner's replacement by Sunrisers Hyderabad. David Warner was banned from IPL 2018 by the BCCI over his role in the ball-tampering scandal. Warner was earlier retained by SRH, but they get a decent bite at the cherry with the recruitment of Hales. Hales is a regular in the England limited overs squad.

A BCCI press release today confirmed that Hales has been purchased by SRH for his base price of Rs. 1 crore. He was earlier overlooked during the player auction in January 2018.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has seen Hales play a big role in the Big Bash League. He has represented Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades. He has also played in the PSL for Islamabad United besides Nottinghamshire. He has a T20I century too for England.
