Interesting statistics of IPL 2018 till now
The Indian Premier League 2018 has seen five matches already being played and so far it has been a fabulous ride. CSK are the masters of chase
Interestingly, CSK needed 51 runs in the last 4 overs in the two encounters against KKR and MI. Chennai won both their ties off the second last ball of the innings. That's some nerves! CSK have chased down 200+ run targets twice in the history of IPL. They are only behind Kings XI Punjab, which have achieved this feat thrice.
The West Indies delight in IPL 2018
KKR's star all-rounder Andre Russell has the Orange Cap. He has hit the most sixes (12) and has the highest score (88*) till now. CSK's Dwayne Bravo became the 1st player in IPL to have 1000+runs, 100+ wickets and 50+ sixes. Bravo (68) had broken Russell's record for the highest score by a number 7 batsman in IPL. Russell (88*) snatched the record back.
Mind boggling records galore at IPL 2018
MI's first match jinx has continued. The loss against Chennai was their sixth successive opening loss in IPL. At 17 years and 11 days, Punjab's teenager Mujeeb Ur Rahman became the youngest player in IPL. KL Rahul smashed the fastest IPL fifty ever (14 balls). Gautam Gambhir's 55 against KXIP saw him equal David Warner for most fifties in IPL (36).

Virat Kohli played his 150th match in IPL for RCB. It's the highest by a single player for a franchise. KKR's victory against RCB saw them script their 22nd chase successfully out of 27 at home. RR not hitting a single six in their innings against SRH was the 11th instance in IPL history. Yusuf Pathan became 7th player to play 150 IPL matches.
