    IPL: Uthappa, Gambhir lead KKR to victory against RPS

    What's the story

    Kolkata Knight Riders registered a seven wicket victory over Rising Pune Supergiant in the 30th match of 2017 VIVO Indian Premier League at Pune.

    Chasing 183, Robin Uthappa and skipper Gautam Gambhir put on a 158-run partnership for the second wicket to take KKR across the target.

    Uthappa scored 87 runs, his best in the IPL, while Gambhir scored 62 runs.

    RPS look to continue their winning-streak as they host KKR

    Kolkata Knight Riders play against Rising Pune Supergiant as they eye the top spot on the points table.

    Both the teams have won their last match and will look to get better of their opponent.

    In the last season of the Indian Premier League, KKR had won both of their matches against RPS.

    100th match as skipper for Gautam Gambhir

    Left-handed batsman Gautam Gambhir will be playing his 100th match as the skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders. He joined the team in 2011 and took them to title victories in 2012 and 2014.

    First innings

    RPS manage to score 182 in first innings

    After being sent to bat first, RPS managed to put 182 runs on the board with a loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

    Openers Ajinkya Rahane(46) and Rahul Tripathi(38) put on a 65 run partnership, with Rahane then scoring 47 runs with skipper Steve Smith, who remained unbeaten on 51.

    MS Dhoni put on a small cameo as he hit 23-runs off 11-balls.
