IPL: Pollard, Pandya rescue MI after top order fails
Kieron Pollard and Krunal Pandya took Mumbai Indians over the winning line against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2017 Indian Premier League in an amazing run-chase. After MI's top order was demolished by RCB's Samuel Badree, Pollard and Pandya put on a 93-run partnership for 6th wicket to win the match by four wickets. Pollard scored 70 runs, while Pandya remained unbeaten at 37.
Upbeat MI face RCB as Kohli returns
Royal Challengers Bangalore will host upbeat Mumbai Indians as their skipper Virat Kohli is all set to play his first match of the 2017 IPL. MI have won both their previous matches after a loss in the tournament opener. RCB, on the other hand, have lost two of their three games. MI have an upper-hand against RCB with a 11-8 winning record.
Kohli smashes half-century before MI bowlers restrict RCB to 142
Virat Kohli made a mark in his first IPL match this year as he smashed 62 runs after RCB were put to bat first. Gayle and Kohli scored 63 runs for the first wicket. After Kohli and Gayle were sent off the field, MI bowlers dominated the game and restricted RCB to a mere 142 runs at the loss of five wickets.
Kohli becomes IPL's leading run-scorer
After smashing 62 in his first match of the season, Virat Kohli surpassed Suresh Raina to become the leading run-scorer of the Indian Premier League. He has scored a total of 4172 runs and is one run ahead of Raina.
Badree takes the 15th hat-trick of IPL
West Indies bowler Samuel Badree became the 12th player to take a hat-trick in the Indian Premier League since 2008. His bowling figures of 4-1-9-4 are the best of the 2017 season till now.
