IPL: Finch powers GL to an easy victory against RCB
Aaron Finch fired a 34-ball 72 to guide Gujarat Lions to an easy victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 31st match of 2017 IPL at Bengaluru. Chasing 135, GL lost their first wicket early. Skipper Suresh Raina and Finch then put on 92 runs together to register a seven wicket victory. Raina remained unbeaten on 34 as he scored the winning runs.
RCB host GL as both teams look for a win
Desperate to gain some points, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Lions lock horns at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB are placed a point ahead of the GL, thanks to the wash-out match against Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier this week. GL had lost the match when they hosted RCB in IPL 2017.
Tye, Jadeja destroy RCB batting line up
Andrew Tye picked up three wickets and gave away just 12 runs to help limit RCB to 134 runs in 20 overs. Having lost three quick wickets, Kedar Jadhav and Pawan Negi scored 31 and 32 runs respectively to guide RCB to a defendable target. In his spell of four overs, Ravindra Jadeja ended up with two wickets.
Raina snatches orange cap from Gautam Gambhir
Gujarat Lions' captain Suresh Raina became the highest run scorer of the tournament with his knock of 34 against RCB. He now has 309 runs in eight matches, with the highest score of 84. On second spot is KKR's Gautam Gambhir with 305 runs.
