Mumbai Indians returned to the top of the table as they defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets in the 38th match of 2017 Indian Premier League. Chasing 163, Nitish Rana and Jos Buttler gave a stable start to Mumbai. Rohit Sharma then put on 56-runs off 37-balls to guide Mumbai to a five-wicket win against RCB.

AB de Villiers strikes; guides RCB to 162 runs
AB de Villiers' 43-off-27 rescued Royal Challengers Bangalore as they went on to score 162 runs after skipper Virat Kohli opted to bat first. AB put on 45-runs partnership with Travis Head for the third wicket. Pawan Negi (35-off-23) and Kedar Jadhav (28-off-22) then put on 54-runs together to help RCB get past 150 in the death overs.
2000 run milestone for Mandeep Singh
RCB's Mandeep Singh reached a milestone of 2000-runs in T20 cricket as he scored 17 runs against Mumbai. He also completed his 1000 IPL runs. With the highest score of 77*, Mandeep now has 2014 runs in T20 cricket, 1014 of which are in IPL.
Sharma touches 4K-run mark in the IPL
Rohit Sharma became the fourth batsmen to score 4000 runs in the Indian Premier League as he scored his 31st half century today. He now has 4047 runs from 152 matches and is the third highest scorer in IPL behind Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli.
