IPL: Gautam Gambhir leads KKR to victory against KXIP
Skipper Gautam Gambhir led from the front in a 171-run chase against Kings XI Punjab as KKR won by eight wickets. This is KKR's eight consecutive win against KXIP. Gambhir opened the batting along with Sunil Narine and put on a 76-run partnership. Narine scored 37, while Gambhir remained unbeaten at 72 runs. KKR handed KXIP their first loss of the season.
Kolkata to play first home game against Punjab
Kolkata Knight Riders will start their home fixtures at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata as they meet Kings XI Punjab in the first home match. Having lost the second game, KKR will be looking to start their home campaign with a win. On the other hand, KXIP have remained unbeaten in the tournament so far and would like to keep it that way.

David Miller and Wriddhiman Saha then put on a 57-run partnership before KKR bowlers fought back with back-to-back wickets.

Umesh Yadav struck thrice in a single over. Overall, in this match he sent back four of the KXIP batsmen. He gave away only 33 runs in 4 overs. Chris Woakes got two wickets in three overs and conceded 30 runs.
