Mumbai Indians defeated Rising Pune Supergiant to win the 2017 Indian Premier League. Mumbai won by only one run to win their third IPL title. Chasing a score of 130, Pune skipper Steve Smith scored 51-runs, but failed to take his team over the finish line. Mitchell Johnson picked up two important wickets in his last over which helped Mumbai to win this match.

Having defeated Mumbai thrice in the past seven weeks, Pune will look to continue their winning streak against the two-time champions. Gritty Krunal takes Mumbai to 129 after batting collapses
Mumbai Indians managed to score 129 runs after their batting failed against the Pune bowlers. After losing two wickets in the third over, skipper Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu scored 33-runs together to stabilize the innings. However, wickets kept falling after Sharma's departure. Krunal Pandya saved Mumbai with his 47-run innings. His 50-run partnership with Mitchell Johnson helped Mumbai post a defendable target.
Two wickets each for Unadkat, Zampa and Christian
Jaydev Unadkat gave Pune early breakthroughs as he sent back two Mumbai batsmen in the third over. Adam Zampa also struck twice in his tenth over. Dan Christian also picked up two wickets and ended the match with bowling figures of 34/2.
