IPL: Delhi register a five-wicket win over Hyderabad
Delhi Daredevils' young guns made sure their team would stay in a fight for the play-offs as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by five-wickets at Delhi. Chasing 186, youngsters Sanju Samson(24), Karun Nair(39), Rishabh Pant(34) and Shreyas Iyer(33) gave Delhi a splendid start. In the end, Corey Anderson scored 41-runs off 24-balls to guide Delhi to a win after five losses.
Hyderabad will look for a win as they meet Delhi
Delhi Daredevils will host red-hot Sunrisers Hyderabad as the latter eye the second spot on the points table. After a frustrating period of two weeks and five consecutive losses, DD are almost on the verge of exiting the tournament. Hyderabad, on the other hand, are on a roll after having registered a stupendous victory against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Yuvraj fires 70 off 41 to take SRH to 185
Yuvraj Singh scored his second fifty of the season to power Hyderabad to 185 after they were put to bat by the hosts. After a 53-run partnership between David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan for the opening wicket, Singh partnered with Moises Henriques and scored 93-runs together for the fourth wicket. Yuvraj and Henriques remained not out at 70 and 25 respectively.
1000 IPL runs for Karun Nair
Delhi's Karun Nair completed 1000 runs in the IPL as he scored 39 today. He reached the mark in 45 innings. His score of 39 was also his highest in all-formats since his knock of 303* against England last year in Chennai test.
