IPL: Pant, Samson power Delhi to a victory over Gujarat
Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson hit blasting innings to help Delhi Daredevils win the 42nd match of 2017 Indian Premier League against Gujarat Lions. Chasing 209, Pant and Samson put on 143-runs together for the second wicket. Pant hit 97 runs, while Samson scored 61. Delhi hit a record 20 sixes in their innings to win the match by seven wickets.

Delhi Daredevils and Gujarat Lions will face each other for the first time in the tournament. Delhi Daredevils would be upbeat, coming in the match with an incredible win over Hyderabad, while Gujarat have faced two back-to-back losses before today's game. With six points each, DD and GL are placed at the sixth and seventh position respectively.

Gujarat score a massive 208 runs
A 133-run stand for the third wicket between skipper Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik helped Gujarat Lions put on 208 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of seven wickets. Raina scored 77 runs off 43 balls, while Karthik put on 65 off 34 balls. Ravindra Jadeja hit back to back sixess in the final over to finish the innings in style.
5000 T20 runs for Raina at home
Raina completed his 5000 runs on the home soil as he went on to score his 31st IPL fifty. He is only the second batsman after Kohli to complete 5000 T20 runs at home. Raina is also the top run-scorer in IPL with 4493 runs.
