Saina lashes out at IOA, it issues clarification on Twitter
What's the story
The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) responded to Saina Nehwal's claims that her father Harvir Singh's name was removed from the list of team officials for the Commonwealth Games.
The IOA clarified that her father was given the position of an accredited 'Extra Official' which does not allow him access to the Games Village.
The IOA has also sent Saina a copy of the manual.

Saina furious after father's name not in team officials' list
Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal had lashed out at the IOA in a series of tweets.
She had claimed that her father's name was removed from the list of officials despite making all the payments for his travel to Australia.
As per her claims, Saina's father cannot enter the Games Village or watch any of Saina's matches.

Surprise to see that when we started from India for commonwealth games 2018 my father was confirmed as the team official and I paid the whole amount for that but when we came to the games village ... his name was cut from team official category .. and he can’t even stay with me .

Saina Nehwal's father Harvir Singh and PV Sindhu's mother Vijaya Pusarla are among the 15 officials who were given the clearance to travel along with the Indian contingent for the 2018 Commonwealth Games. However, they had to bear their own costs.
