Emerging Indian women's team all-rounder, Sayali Satghare, is taking the cricketing world by storm.
The 21-year-old has had a year so far as she made her Team India debut besides regularly featuring in the Women's Premier League (WPL) for Gujarat Giants.
Her journey started with her being picked for the Giants (2024) after Kashvee Gautam's exit.

Satghare's WPL journey began dramatically as a concussion substitute for Dayalan Hemalatha in a match against Delhi Capitals at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
This season, she made her mark by claiming her first-ever WPL wicket.
She dismissed Ellyse Perry during the Giants's opening game of the season against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara.

Sayali's international debut and cricketing journey
In October 2024, Satghare was named in India's ODI squad against New Zealand but didn't get a chance to play.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, she made her international debut against Ireland in Rajkot.
Her cricketing journey started in the 2015-16 season with her T20 and List A debut for Mumbai in the 2019-20 Senior Women's One-Day Trophy.

Satghare's breakthrough season and record performance
The 2023-24 One-Day Trophy was career-defining for Satghare, as she scored 260 runs in seven matches at an impressive average of 52.
Her highest score was a blistering century against Arunachal Pradesh, where she scored 100 off just 77 balls.
This performance made her an indispensable member of the Gujarat Giants team.

Satghare finds inspiration in Virat Kohli and Perry.
"I really like Virat Kohli because of his work ethic and self-belief, which really inspires me,"she told India Today Digital.
She also shared how guidance from seniors like Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Smriti Mandhana helped her develop new skills.
"I think towards the end of last year, I spoke to Smriti and Jemimah. They told me to work hard, focus on fitness, and learn new skills," Satghare stated.
Future plans
Satghare's experience with Gujarat Giants and future goals
Satghare has been inspired by the work ethics of her teammates at Gujarat, including Deandra Dottin, Beth Mooney, and Ash Gardner.
She said she would want to emulate their dedication in her own training regimen.
"I think their work ethics are excellent both in terms of skills and fitness. That's something I've been really inspired by, she added.
With the ODI World Cup on the horizon, Satghare is honing her skills in power hitting drills to prepare for upcoming challenges.
