Ishant was born on this day in 1988 in Delhi. The lanky fast bowler made his debut for India in both ODIs and Tests in 2007. He became the 5th youngest cricketer to get to 100 Test scalps in 2011. In 2013, he also became the 5th fastest Indian to take 100 ODI scalps. He is the 7th Indian to take 250+ Test wickets.

Ishant achieved 250+ Test career wickets feat in the ongoing series versus England. He has been India's best bowler of the series so far and leads the wickets chart. Ishant has been more attacking with the ball and his ability to pitch the ball further up has yielded results. He will look to be India's main weapon in the Test series against Australia next.
