Indian women will host Australia for a 3-match ODI series
After taming the Proteas in South Africa, the Indian women's cricket team is scheduled to play 3 ODIs against Australia at home. The series will kick off from March 12. The three-match series will be held in Vadodara and will be a part of the ICC Women's Championship. Today, the All-India Women's Selection Committee announced a 15 member squad for the series.
Mithali named captain, Harmanpreet her deputy
Mithali Raj will lead the Indian eves, whereas, Harmanpreet Kaur will be her deputy for the ODI series. Jhulan Goswami will not be a part of the series, as she is currently ailing from an injury. The Indian women recently scripted history by winning the ODI and the T20I series in South Africa and will look to continue their dominant performance.

With the T20 World Cup scheduled to be played later this year, India are looking to blood youngsters by giving them opportunities in the upcoming series. The women's cricket team has a tight schedule. After playing Australia in Vadodara, they will be involved in tri-series tournament including Australia and England in Mumbai.
