Bangladesh women's team stunned India in the final of the Asia Cup T20 in Kuala Lumpur. India could manage a paltry score of 112/9 after a batting failure. Bangladesh then won the match off the final ball of the innings by three wickets. Rumana Ahmed top scored with 23 runs as India could not defend the low total. Here is the match report.
Indian bowling not enough in the low scoring affair
Indian women bowlers did a great job to make a match out of a low-scoring affair, but it wasn't enough in the end. Bangladesh eves needed 9 runs from the last over and despite losing two wickets, they managed to get past the line off the final ball. The top five chipped in with the runs for Bangladesh and that made the difference.
Harmanpreet a lone warrior for India
Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played a solid innings and did a commendable job with the ball as well. The in-form skipper struck a decent 42-ball 56 to help India get past the 100-run mark. Her innings was laced with 7 fours. She ran out of partners as the rest of the players didn't stand tall. Kaul also picked up 2 wickets.

Bangladesh skipper Salma Khatun stated that despite the team starting the T20 tournament poorly, they came back strong. This is Bangladesh women's first major title. Meanwhile, Indian captain Kaur felt that the team did not bat as per the situation.
