Road Safety World Series: Cricketers set to play for India
A star-studded India Legends team has been finalized for the upcoming Road Safety World Series. The tournament will see some of the biggest cricketing names participate in an on-field battle. A total of 12 former players have been named in the Indian team. The players include legends Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan. Here are further details.
Several former stars to represent India Legends
The Indian cricket team fans will be excited to roll back the years. Legends Tendulkar and Sehwag will be seen opening the batting. Former Indian pacers Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan and Ajit Agarkar will be in focus in the bowling department. Meanwhile, Sameer Dighe, who represented India in six Tests and 23 ODIs, has been given the wicket-keeping responsibility for the exhibition tournament.

The World Safety Series 2020 features retired cricketers from Australia, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies. The first edition will be played from March 7 to March 22. The tourney will be played at major venues across Maharashtra. All matches will start at 7:00 PM IST and will be telecast live on COLORS Cineplex. VOOT and Jio are the digital partners.

The tournament is being used as a social cause of raising awareness about road safety in India.
