Indian men's team falters in 2014 and 2016 World T20s
India reached the final of the 2014 ICC World T20 and couldn't quite get going. They managed just 130/4 in 20 overs against Sri Lanka, who chased down the target in just 17.5 overs. Champions Trophy heartbreak for India Men in 2017
India were considered to be the favorites in the ICC 2017 Champions Trophy. They reached the final and were pitted against Pakistan. Despite beating their arch-rivals earlier in the competition, Pakistan were too good for India in the finale. India lost by 180 runs.

India Women were beaten by England in the final of the ICC Women's World Cup in 2017. It was a match where India lost from a winning position. Chasing 229, India were 196/5 at one stage. However, they managed 219. And now in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2020 finale, Australia Women thrived in the pressure game. India were poor across departments.
India Women lost in the semis of the 2018 WT20
The Indian women cricket team also lost against England in the 2018 World T20 semis. India Women lost eight wickets for 23 runs to slump from 89 for 2 to 112 all out in 19.2 overs. England won the game in style.
