Indian women's hockey captain Rani Rampal has been named as the flag-bearer for the closing ceremony of the Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia. Rampal led India to a silver medal at the Games. The side came close to clinching gold after a period of 36 years, but the players will be happy with a silver as well. Meanwhile, the men's hockey team took home the bronze medal after beating Pakistan in the semis.

This was India's best ever campaign at the Asian Games. The Indian contingent won a total of 69 medals that included 15 gold, 24 silver and 30 bronze. They surpassed their previous best record achieved at the 2010 Asian Games where they managed to win 65. India ended their campaign brightly after sealing two gold medals on Day 14.

The Asian Games 2018 closing ceremony will take place at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta. The ceremony can be watched across the Sony Ten network in both Hindi and English commentary. The closing ceremony will start at 5 PM IST post the Triathlon event.
