India-NZ 1st ODI: Who could be in the playing XI?
India and New Zealand will lock horns in the first ODI of the 3-match series on 22nd October at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. The Indian team is in high spirits after crushing Australia 4-1 in the recently concluded ODI series, while NZ has not played any ODI since the ICC Champions Trophy. Let us have a look at the probable teams for the first ODI.
Schedule for the ODI series
While the first ODI is scheduled to be played at Mumbai's Wankhede stadium, the second match will be played in Pune on 25th October, followed by third on 29th October in Kanpur. The ODI series will be followed by T20 series in November.
Time to solve small problems?
The Indian cricket team had faced some minor problems in the team during the series against Australia. While in the series, we saw the meteoric rise of Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav, the middle order batting was a reason of worry for the Indian team. A promising start after major setback?
The Blackcaps had a major setback as their main leg spinner, Todd Astle was ruled of the entire series due to a groin injury. After a loss in the first tour match, the Kiwis bounced back in the second match, with centuries from Latham and Taylor. Trent Boult also looked settled with a five for in the tour match.
