    India beat England in 4th T20I, seal series: Key stats

    What's the story

    Team India earned an impressive win over England in the 4th T20I held at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

    India, who were in a spot of bother, finished with a score of 181/9. Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya slammed fifties.

    In response, England were off to a flier before India hit back. Harry Brook scored a fifty thereafter but India managed to hold on.

    How did India's innings pan out?

    India started well as the first over produced 12 runs. Thereafter, a three-wicket burst and a maiden by Saqib Mahmood saw India get reduced to 12/3.

    Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh then added 45 runs to bring India some respite.

    With Rinku's dismissal, India were reduced to 79/5. An 87-run stand between Dube and Pandya helped India recover.

    England ended strongly thereafter.

    Saqib Mahmood floors India with triple-wicket maiden

    A short first ball angled into the body of Sanju Samson did the batter in.

    In came Tilak Varma and he decided to give a charge. He ran down the wicket, but the ball angled away and flew off the outside edge toward third man.

    Suryakumar Yadav played three dots before shuffling across to whip a ball, but was caught at short mid-on.

    Abhishek and Rinku stabilize India

    Opener Abhishek scored 29 runs from 19 balls. He hit four fours and a six. On the other hand, Rinku dazzled with a score of 30 from 26 balls. He slammed four fours and a six as well.

    Duo

    An 87-run stand between Dube and Pandya

    Dube and Pandya brought their experience into play and thwarted the Englishmen.

    The former negated the threat offered by ace spinner Adil Rashid and the latter took his time before upping the ante.

    Both of them slammed fifties and hit a flurry of boundaries to help India make a comeback.

    Pandya got out, leaving India at 166/6. Dube perished in the final over.

    Dube completes 3,000 T20 runs

    Dube's 53 came from 34 balls. He hit 7 fours and two sixes (SR: 155.88).

    In 34 T20Is, Dube now owns 501 runs at 31.31. This was his 4th T20I fifty.

    As per ESPNcricinfo, Dube also completed 3,000 T20 runs (3,046). This was his 15th fifty.

    He now owns 185 sixes, striking at 142.93.

    Pandya excels with 30-ball 53

    Pandya's 53 came from just 30 balls. He slammed four fours and four sixes (SR: 176.67). Pandya has raced to 1,803 runs at 28.17. He slammed his 5th T20I fifty. He owns 94 sixes. Overall, he has amassed 5,342 runs in T20s (50s: 21).

    What about the England bowlers?

    Mahmood finished with 3/35 from 4 overs. In 19 matches, he owns 21 scalps at 27.90.

    Adil Rashid bowled well, taking one wicket for 35 runs (4 overs). He has raced to 130 wickets at 24.22.

    Against India, the spinner has 13 scalps from 17 matches at 32.07.

    Jamie Overton managed 2/32 (4 overs). He averages 13.70 in T20Is (10 scalps).

    7th successive failure for Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is

    Suryakumar recorded his 2nd duck of the ongoing series (also 1st T20I). Notably, he faltered in the previous T20I series against South Africa last year.

    He managed 21, 4, and 1 in the series against SA. And now, his scores in this series are 0, 12, 14, and 0.

    Brook walked in when England were 65/2. He shared a pivotal stand with 28-run stand alongside Livingstone and another 33-run stand with Jacob Bethell.

    Brook's 51 came off 26 balls. He hammered five fours and two sixes (SR: 196.15).

    Brook now owns 796 runs at 29.48. His strike rate is 146.86. He struck his 4th T20I fifty.

    Bishnoi finishes with 3/28

    Indian spinner Bishnoi claimed 3/28 in the fourth T20I. He got the key scalps of Duckett and Buttler.

    Toward the end, he dismissed Jofra Archer (0).

    His three wickets saw him race to 60 scalps from 41 T20Is. He averages a sensational 19.55.

    In T20s, the right-arm spinner has 175 wickets at 22.82.

    Rana was the game changer for India on debut. After getting Livingstone, he got the crucial scalps of Bethell and the dangerous Overton. He bowled an excellent 19th over, conceding just six runs (1 wicket). He finished with 3/33.
