India have bowled England out for 248 in the 1st ODI at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
The Men in Blue made a concerted bowling effort, with debutant Harshit Rana and Ravindra Jadeja taking three wickets each.
England, who had a terrific start, suffered a top-order collapse. Although half-centuries from Jos Buttler and Jacob Bethell kep the visitors afloat, the Indians bounced back.

England lose three quick wickets despite fine start
Openers Philip Salt and Ben Duckett added an incredible 75-run stand under nine overs after England elected to bat first.
They firmly dominated the Indian bowlers before an untimely run-out sent Salt back for a 26-ball 43.
Rana dismissed Duckett (32) in the very next over, with Yashasvi Jaiswal taking an astonishing catch.

Buttler's 27th ODI fifty saves England
Buttler and Joe Root paired up after England three quick wickets. The duo took India past 100 before Jadeja dismissed Root against the run of play.
However, Buttler maintained his rhythm and added 59 runs with Bethell.
The former raced to his 27th ODI fifty before getting dismissed by Axar Patel. He scored a 67-ball 52 (4 four).

Buttler has registered his highest score in India in ODI cricket. This was his maiden ODI fifty in the nation.
In 18 ODIs in India, Buttler has raced to 273 runs at an average of 16.05. His strike-rate in this regard reads 90.09.

A fine fifty from Bethell
Bethell struggled to rotate the strike during in his partnership with Buttler. However, he took the onus once Buttler departed.
Unlike Buttler, the former didn't have much support from the other and, with Liam Livingstone and Brydon Carse departing.
Bethell eventually scored 51 off 64 balls, a knock laced with 3 fours and a six. He was dismissed by Jadeja in the 43rd over.

Bethell has become the youngest Englishman to score a half-century in India. At 21 years and 106 days, Bethell broke Joe Root's record from 2013, as per Cricbuzz.
Root had set the previous record, at 22 years and 24 days, when he scored a half-century against India in Mohali in 2013.
This was Bethell's second ODI fifty, with the first coming against West Indies.
Jadeja
Most wickets in India-England ODIs
By dismissing Bethell, Jadeja became the highest wicket-taker in India-England ODIs.
He broke the record of England's James Anderson, who owns 40 wickets in this regard. Notably, no other bowler has more than 40 wickets in these matches.
Among Indians, the likes of Harbhajan Singh (36), Javagal Srinath (35), and Ravichandran Ashwin (35) follow Jadeja on this elite list.
600 wickets
Another milestone for Jadeja
Star all-rounder Jadeja has added another feather to his cap. He has become the fifth Indian to complete 600 wickets in international cricket (across all three formats).
He has joined Anil Kumble (953), Ravichandran Ashwin (765), Harbhajan Singh (707), and Kapil Dev (687).
Jadeja got to this feat after knocking over Adil Rashid in the 47th over.
