India vs Bangladesh, T20Is: Key players to watch out for
India and Bangladesh gear up for a three-match T20I series, starting November 3 in Delhi. Both sides will be aiming to be in sync in terms of preparations ahead of next year's ICC World T20. Bangladesh are in a spot of bother with so much happening off the field. Meanwhile, we look at the players to watch out for.
India's experienced opening duo in focus
Indian stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma will be aiming to do well after a quiet show against South Africa last month. Rohit, who had an excellent Test series against the Proteas, will want to get back into his groove in T20Is. His opening partner Shikhar Dhawan needs to get some big scores as well. Dhawan scored 40 and 36 in the two T20Is against SA.
Crucial series for Rishabh Pant, eyes on Samson
Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant hasn't quite lived up to expectations in limited-overs cricket and this series is another massive opportunity for him to show his credentials. With the promising Sanju Samson selected in the side, Pant will need to be on his toes and cash in. One also hopes to see Samson get a chance and do well at the top order.
Yuzvendra Chahal makes a return to the Indian side
India's prolific wrist-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal returned to the scheme of things. He didn't feature in the T20I squads against West Indies and South Africa in recent times. After a decent World Cup 2019 show, Chahal will be raring to have a crack and be a permanent feature in the T20Is. India have four spinners in the side and Chahal is a crucial asset.
Bangladesh pin hopes on Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman
Bangladesh have many uncertainties around them given all that has happened in the build-up to the series. Therefore, now the onus lies on Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman. Mushfiqur brings plenty of experience for the Tigers in the batting segment. Left-arm pacer Mustafizur enjoys bowling against India. Overall, the 24-year-old has been superb in T20Is. Fizz has a bowling average of 18.71.
