India beat Bangladesh to lift Nidahas Trophy
India are the winners of Nidahas Trophy. The Rohit Sharma-led outfit beat Bangladesh by 4 wickets in a tightly contested final at Colombo. Bangladesh had set a target of 167 and India ensured that their record against Tigers remains 100% intact by securing a nail-biting finish. Dinesh Karthik scored 22-runs in 19th over to turn the game. Here are the records that were broken.

Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. Unadkat, who came in to replace Siraj, began the proceedings but it was Washington Sundar who gave India their 1st wicket in the 3rd over, dismissing Linton Das. This opened the floodgates and Bangladesh found themselves in trouble in no time.

Rohit handed Chahal the ball in the 5th over and the spinner got the better of the experienced Tamim Iqbal in his first over. Chahal then broke Bangladesh's backbone as he dismissed Soumya Sarkar in the final ball of the same over.
Sabbir Rahman's brilliance guides Bangladesh to a decent total
Despite losing wickets early Sabbir Rahman played a brilliant innings for the Tigers. The 26-year-old sent the Indian bowlers on a leather hunt scoring 77 off 50 balls to guide them to 166 for 8. Mahmudullah's quick fire 21 and tail end batsman Mehidy Hasan Miraz's cameo also helped in the cause.
KL Rahul fastest to 500 T20I runs
KL Rahul has now taken the fewest innings to reach 500 T20I runs. The stylish right-handed batsman has achieved the feat in just 13 innings and is ahead of Australia's Aaron Finch who needed 14 innings and Pakistan's Babar Azam who took 15 innings to get there.

Rohit Sharma is now second in the list of the most 50+ scores in T20 Internationals. The stand-in skipper now has 16 fifty plus scores and shares the record with New Zealand's Martin Guptill. India's Virat Kohli tops this chart with 18 fifty plus scores to his name.
