He emphasized that both men's and women's Hockey India Leagues (HIL) are crucial platforms for nurturing young talent and promoting the sport.

"For our future, our main focus will be on the Asian Games and FIH World Cup. The 2028 Olympics is also important," he stated during his interview with ANI.

Tirkey praised Hockey India's performance over the past four years, highlighting their achievements at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics.
He also commended Harmanpreet Singh's team for their record-breaking feats.
"In the past four years, Hockey India has displayed a stunning performance. In the Tokyo Olympics, we won bronze and again in the Paris Olympics we won bronze," he stated during his interview with ANI.

Tirkey also applauded the leadership of Harmanpreet, who helped the Indian men's hockey team win the bronze medal.
