Team India registered its highest powerplay score (95/1) during the fifth and final T20I against England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
The hosts broke their previous record of 82 runs achieved against Scotland at the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021. They had also equalled that score in 2024 during an encounter against Bangladesh.

He hammered Jofra Archer for two sixes in the very first over, starting India's innings with a maximum.
Samson became only the third Indian to hit a six off the first ball of a T20I. Notably, he dealt with Archer's short balls well.

After six overs, India were 95/1. Abhishek Sharma was unscathed on 58 from 21 balls. Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 19 from 8 balls.
Sharma reached his fifty off 17 balls in the 5th over on the back of successive sixes.
Varma then cashed in as the Jamie Overton over produced 25 runs.
